Rice paper? RICE PAPER?! RICE PAPER?! I'm very afraid! What happens if it gets eaten by a passing stray flying pig - or gets wet?

Lyn could do an awful lot of damage to rice paper - she`ll be like a mad woman on a mission! I hope Eleanor isn`t going to be "too tartan," as I`m not altogether sure it will be appropriate on the day, and surely, surely, she will not be wearing that disreputable tam o` shanter?? I hope Lyn doesn`t read Anne`s mail about the pants, we can`t be responsible for what she`ll do!!!

I'm sad to report that Eleanor can't wear the tam-o-shanter. Lyn has cut the pom pom off the top!

Red White and Blue pinstripe deckchairs and tassles will make everyone jealous Anne

Oh Anne - what a wonderful idea. You are a very clever lady. Can you imagine the jealousy as we sit on our red, white and blue deckchairs in the palace gardens sipping our pina coladas, eating our cake and twirling our tassels?
Doreen - please NO shimmering pinstripes - Kathleen is right (for once) and you would indeed look like a deck chair and someone would probably sit on you.
Has anyone heard from Lyn recently? I'm getting a bit concerned about Charlie's wardrobe and garden. Speak to us Lyn and tell us you are NOT at Highgrove and are behaving. The picture you sent me the other day of your outfit has upset me and I don't think I can sit near you in the Abbey. Could I beg you to have a re-think? I don't think frilled organza and rubber are a very good mix, especially with the Ugg boots and feathered stetson.

Frilled organza?? Feathered stetson?? Maybe WE should take some scissors!!! Oh Jean, it`s so unfair - you and I will be so tastefully dressed, me in my palest peach ensemble, and others will be letting the side down! I`ve seen through Doreen`s plan - she`s hoping someone sits on her, then she`ll gasp that she can`t breathe, then wait for William`s helicopter pals to come to her rescue.........quite shameless!

Not a bad idea Kathleen! I can assure you my outfit is a model of decorum and I most certainly will not look like a deckchair. It is a little strapless number, and I will be wearing my gold 8 inch heels and the biggest hat anyone has ever seen. I'm sure you will agree it is an outfit very suitable for a Royal wedding, only wish I could say the same for Eleanor's tartan....very common.

Let's just hope a strong wind doesn't get underneath the hat, Dor, or you won't need Will's pals in the helicopter

I don't think frilled organza and rubber are a very good mix, especially with the Ugg boots and feathered stetson. I am very upset Jean. I have spent hour after hour cutting that rubber with these fine edged scissors in order to get the frill to sit straight. Hour upon hour sat here trimming. The stetson is really suave, especially with the layered feather look and I have now been able to add some feathers to my Uggs. Catching the ruddy seagulls wasn't easy you know ... had to entice them with Mike's turkey butties, now he's had no lunch and is very grumpy. Seagulls are now bare and are not happy about this ... whilst they've been okay basting in the sun it's starting to get chilly now and they're sat squawking and shivering huddled together on next door's garage roof. Hmm... Mike's tea, perhaps, to make up for lost butties? I've made the necessary adjustments to Charlie's pants but not sure what Cam is getting into a fluster over. I thought Charlie in shorts wasn't really de rigeur for a Royal occasion but ... well, it's done now I promise I haven't touched any plants in the Highgrove garden, just as you all asked. Doreen, I just happen to have a spare pom pom. Would you like it for your big hat? I could trim it into a pretty bird shape which would look very nice?! In fact forget the pom pom, I could attached a nice line in seagulls! Now rice paper, methinks I could really go to town with that!!

That outfit sounds more tasteful than I expected from you Eleanor. Glad the cake is ready.....don't eat any more of it now, we will need sustainance on the day. I won't need the pompom thanks Lyn, I have decided not to wear the hat, I have a very nice tasseled fascinater.

What have you put on the top of the cake, Eleanor? I know Lyn offered you a stuffed seagull, but I really don`t think that would be suitable for a Royal Wedding, so try not to be tempted. Your tam o` shanter will be very unusual, having tassels rather than a pom-pom, but if it makes you happy................. Kate`s forbears are from County Durham of course, so I will be carrying a miner`s lamp, in homage to her roots - it will also come in handy if there`s a power cut. I like the sound of your fascinator, Doreen, it will be....................................................................fascinating! Does it match your deckchair? Purple velvet sounds fine for the commode, but you know Jean will want to wear a tiara - she sometimes has ideas above her station, and is bound to want to make a grand entrance, tassels twirling. I mean, we`re all used to her by now, but the Wedding Party might be a bit taken aback. We might not even need the wheeled commode, as I believe William has ordered some mini-buses for the drive to the Abbey, and someone will help us aboard, surely?

I have put a welsh dragon on top of the cake. Just because I can! And it is delicious as is the cake! That will be so nice if we can all travel together in the coach but I will need to sit in the back seat and Lyn(with scissors) in the front. (Did you know that she has been in touch with Buck House to offer to 'do' Kate's hair for the wedding? It will be 'done' right enough! ) Jean will rightly wish to wear her tiara in view of her royal connections ie her new water closet. We will still need the velvet clad commode to enter the church in style though. Jenni is looking forward to travelling in it so much, as is Bernice , just hope that old slack jaw isn't there as we all know how fond - not - they are of him. Oh Kathleen, I just hope and pray that they all act with decorum in view of past history. Will Amanda bring a supply of French wine, Julie start climbing into the cloisters, Jean try to splash around in the font, Lyn cutting hair and cattle rustling? As for Doreen, I am aware that she is having a stuffed royal cushion, knitted by Julie, stuck on a hair band on her head. She is calling it a fascinator!!! Well at least you and I will behave. I will bring medicinal pernod for emotional and happy moments. Will you be bringing a fine malt? As in other years, Amanda and Barbara will be in charge of the refreshments. I believe that Jean has put a bar in the bottom of the commode.

Not only have I knitted Doreen a cushion but I have also knitted each and every one of us a red white and blue bumscinator. Similar to a fascinator but you strap it to your rear end and then can remain seated comfortably throughout the loooooong day. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Don`t worry Eleanor, I will indeed bring a very fine malt - I`m going to put it in a nice hip flask with the royal crest on it. It`s very exciting isn`t it? I do, however, share your worries about how the others will behave - and my greatest fear is for the person who ends up siting in front of Lyn, for obvious reasons. The dragon sounds lovely - I`m looking forward to a slice of your special cake. Please tell me that Jean is not bringing a telescopic pole to the ceremony? I heard she`d got one disguised as a walking stick, but after a glass or three of Amanda`s wine she`ll be up that pole in no time, and it`s hardly the place. Surely OSG won`t be there? I thought he would be persona non grata after that episode on the Golden Mile when we were all at Blackpool. I`ve been practising my wave for when we`re on the mini-bus - apparently one has to keep one`s fingers together, and straight, which might prove difficult when one`s hands don`t work as well as they should.
